For My Mom,
Creative birthday gifts take some sweat equity, to steal a term from Habitat for Humanity. Creativity does not expect the thoughtful (although very useful) gift card and scoffs at the 10th framed picture of yourself given when you looked so cute! Some creativity points are given for the well - intentioned (albeit disproportionate) turd - grey pot made at a local ceramic store. More points still for the concert ticket from your receiver's favorite band coming into town. I've given my fair share of picture frames, pots (more specifically homemade paintings) and now and then the occasional ticket. I'm hoping this hits the spot.
My Mom is an avid blog-reader, patient quilter and loves the remote outdoor wilderness in Wyoming. I'm hoping that she can use this to tell her stories, publish her scientific opinion (she is a licensed physical therapist by the way) and enjoy the creative, challenging endeavor of writing a blog.
Happy Birthday Mom!
Emily
